# Edit a Managed Company

This article explains how to edit an existing managed company in the MSP Portal. Common updates include modifying company details or reassigning the managed company to a different MSP node. Edits take effect immediately and impact which MSP users can access the company.

Only users with the **Modify Managed Company** permission(s) can update Managed Companies.

# Update Managed Company Node
To update the node a Managed Company is associated with from the MSP Portal, follow the steps below:

        Sign in to the **[WatchDog MSP Portal](https://app.watchdogsecurity.io/)**
      </Step>
      <Step>
        From the account context switcher, select the MSP Portal
      </Step>
      <Step>
        From the Left Hand Navigation Menu, select **Managed Companies**
      </Step>
      <Step>
        (Optional) Use the **Node selector** at the top of the page to switch to the correct **MSP Node**.
      </Step>

        Locate the company you want to access in the **Managed Companies** table.
      </Step>
       <Step>
        In the **Actions** column, click the **⋮ (Actions menu)** for the selected company.
      </Step>
       <Step>
        Select **Manage** to open the Edit Managed Company Context Window
      </Step>
       <Step>
        Next, click **Edit** , then under the **Node** dropdown, select the new node to which the Managed Company should belong
      </Step>
       <Step>
        Click 💾 **Save**
      </Step>

Changes are applied immediately once saved.

# Update Managed Company Services

You must revoke licenses assigned to users from the User Management Page in the Customer Tenant before decreasing the License Quantity.

To enable, disable, or adjust services for an existing Managed Company, follow the steps below:

      <Step>
        From the account context switcher, select the MSP Portal
      </Step>
      <Step>
        From the Left Hand Navigation Menu, select **Managed Companies**
      </Step>
      <Step>

        Locate the company you want to access in the **Managed Companies** table.

        Next, click **Edit** , then under the **Service** dropdown, select the new services to assign to the Managed Company
