This guide explains how to connect Google Workspace to WatchDog Security using OAuth authentication.Once connected, WatchDog will begin monitoring your Google Workspace environment for security posture risks, configuration issues, and asset inventory data.
What WatchDog Monitors#
WatchDog operates in read-only mode and does not modify configuration settings within your Google Workspace environment.
After the integration is connected, WatchDog may monitor:User and Identity InformationUsers within your Google Workspace domain
User aliases configured for each account
Domain and Customer InformationCustomer account metadata
Domains associated with the Google Workspace organization
Delegated administrator roles
Admin privilege assignments
Google Workspace audit logs
Administrative activity logs
Workspace usage statistics
The exact information collected depends on the permissions granted during authorization.
Requirements#
Before connecting the integration, ensure the following:You have administrator access to Google Workspace
You're an Account Owner or Security Admin in the WatchDog Security portal
Step 1 — Open the Integration in WatchDog#

Log into the WatchDog Security Portal

Navigate to Management → Integrations
Step 2 — Authorize the Integration#
After authorization is completed, you will be redirected back to WatchDog Security automatically.
You will be redirected to the Google authorization page.1.
Select the Google Workspace administrator account

Review the permissions requested by WatchDog
3.
Click Allow to approve the connection
WatchDog will then establish a secure OAuth connection to your Google Workspace environment.
Initial Sync#
WatchDog will begin collecting data from Google Workspace
The first synchronization typically completes within 5–10 minutes
Troubleshooting#
Verify the following:
You are logged in with a Google Workspace administrator account
OAuth applications are permitted within your Google Workspace environment
The browser was not blocked from completing the OAuth redirect
