This article explains how to edit a service account in the MSP Portal. Service accounts can only be edited within the MSP node they were created in.Only users with the Modify Service Account permission can update existing SA permissions
Service accounts are node-scoped and cannot be moved between nodes after its inital creation.
Edit a Service Account#
Disabled permissions appear greyed out when creating or editing a service account.
Editing a service account does not rotate its API key. Permission changes apply immediately.
To modify a service account’s permissions or configuration, follow the steps below:2
From the account context switcher, select the MSP Portal

From the Left Hand Navigation Menu, select Users

Select the Service Accounts tab.

(Optional) Under Node, select the node the user belongs under

Locate the service account you want to edit.

In the Actions column, click the ⋮ (Actions Menu).

Changes take effect immediately.
