Generate Backup Codes

Generate backup codes to access your account if your authenticator app is unavailable.
Who can use this feature?
All Account Owners, Security Admins and End Users
Available on the Free, Core and Business plans

Generate Backup Codes#

Sign in to WatchDog Security
Sign in to the WatchDog Security Platform.

Open Settings
Navigate to User Profile > Settings.

Select Security Tab
Click on the Security tab within the Settings page.

Generate Backup Codes
Click Generate New Backup Codes to create a new set.

What Happens Next#

A new set of backup codes is generated instantly.
Each code can be used once for authentication.
Previous backup codes are invalidated after generating new ones.

Troubleshooting#

Backup Codes Not Working
If backup codes fail:
Ensure the code has not been used before
Each code is single-use only
Generate a new set of codes if needed
