Track Security Events

Who can use this feature?
All Account Owners and Security Admins
Any End Users assigned as an owner to one or more vendors
Available on the Free, Core and Business plans

Track Security Events#

Security events are automatically collected from external sources and linked to vendors based on their website.

Sign in to WatchDog Security
Sign in to the WatchDog Security Platform.

Open Vendor Management
Navigate to Vendor Management from the left-hand menu.

Select Vendor
Click the vendor card you want to review.

View Security Events
Scroll to the Security Events section to see recent incidents.

Open Event Link
Click the Link icon to view the full security event article.

What Happens Next#

Security events are displayed based on external monitoring sources.
Each event includes a link to the original source for further investigation.
New events are automatically added as they are detected.

Troubleshooting#

No Security Events Visible
If no events are shown:
Ensure the vendor has a valid Website configured
Some vendors may not have recent or publicly reported incidents
Events depend on external data availability
Event Links Not Opening
Incorrect Events Displayed
