Manage Manual Monitors

Manage manual monitors by updating their status, pausing tracking, or resuming monitoring when required.
Who can use this feature?
All Account Owners, Security Admins and End Users
Available on the Free, Core and Business plans

Mark Monitor As Complete#

Sign in to WatchDog Security
Sign in to the WatchDog Security Platform.

Open Integration
Navigate to Posture Management and select an integration.

Open Monitor
Select a manual monitor from the findings list.

Complete Monitor
Click Complete to mark the monitor as resolved.

Revert Monitor Completion#

Sign in to WatchDog Security
Sign in to the WatchDog Security Platform.

Open Monitor
Open a completed manual monitor.

Revert Monitor
Click Revert to mark the monitor as incomplete.

Pause Monitor#

Sign in to WatchDog Security
Sign in to the WatchDog Security Platform.

Open Monitor
Navigate to a manual monitor.

Pause Monitor
Click Pause Monitor from the actions menu.

Enter Pause Details
Provide a reason and select a remonitoring date or enable Pause Indefinitely.

Confirm Pause
Click Pause Monitor to apply changes.

Resume Monitor#

Sign in to WatchDog Security
Sign in to the WatchDog Security Platform.

Open Monitor
Navigate to a paused manual monitor.

Resume Monitor
Click Resume Monitor to resume tracking.

What Happens Next#

The monitor status updates immediately based on the selected action.
The integration score recalculates after completion or revert actions.
Paused monitors are excluded from active tracking until resumed.

Troubleshooting#

Cannot Update Monitor Status
Ensure the monitor is Manual
Verify you have required permissions
Pause Action Not Saving
