Assigning Control Owners

Assign ownership of controls to ensure accountability for maintaining compliance and completing required actions.

Each control should have a clearly defined owner responsible for managing its status, monitors, and associated evidence.

Who can use this feature?

	All Account Owners and Security Admins
	Available on the Business plan

Control owners are responsible for maintaining compliance and ensuring all required evidence is completed and up to date.

Assign Owner to Control

Open Compliance Center

Navigate to the Compliance Center from the sidebar.

Select Framework

Select a framework in Compliance Center.

Select Control

Select a control in the Selected Framework.

Click Edit

Click the Edit icon.

Assign Owner

Select a user in Owner.

Save Changes

Click Save Changes.

The selected user becomes responsible for the control.

Ownership is reflected in compliance tracking.

Control progress is tied to the assigned owner.

User Not Available For Assignment

If user is missing:

Ensure the user is included in framework scope

Confirm the user has Compliance access
