Manage Vendor Documents

Who can use this feature?
All Account Owners and Security Admins
Any End Users assigned as an owner to one or more vendors
Available on the Free, Core and Business plans

Upload Document#

Sign in to WatchDog Security
Sign in to the WatchDog Security Platform.

Open Vendor Management
Navigate to Vendor Management from the left-hand menu.

Select Vendor
Click the vendor card you want to manage.

Open Documents Section
Scroll to the Documents section.

Click Upload Files
Click Upload Files to open the upload modal.

Add Document Details
Enter File Name, select Document Type, and add an optional Note.

Upload File
Drag and drop the file or browse your device to upload.

Confirm Upload
Click Upload to save the document.

View Document#

Sign in to WatchDog Security
Sign in to the WatchDog Security Platform.

Open Vendor Management
Navigate to Vendor Management from the left-hand menu.

Select Vendor
Click the vendor card you want to view.

Open Documents Section
Scroll to the Documents section.

Open Document
Click the download option to view the file.

Edit Document#

Sign in to WatchDog Security
Sign in to the WatchDog Security Platform.

Open Vendor Management
Navigate to Vendor Management from the left-hand menu.

Select Vendor
Click the vendor card you want to manage.

Open Documents Section
Scroll to the Documents section.

Open Actions Menu
Click the Actions menu next to the document.

Edit Document Details
Update the File Name or Note fields.

Save Changes
Save the updated document details.

Delete Document#

Sign in to WatchDog Security
Sign in to the WatchDog Security Platform.

Open Vendor Management
Navigate to Vendor Management from the left-hand menu.

Select Vendor
Click the vendor card you want to manage.

Open Documents Section
Scroll to the Documents section.

Open Actions Menu
Click the Actions menu next to the document.

Delete Document
Select delete to remove the file.

Confirm Deletion
Confirm the deletion to permanently remove the document.

What Happens Next#

The document is securely stored and linked to the selected vendor.
Documents are categorized based on the selected document type.
Updates to document details are saved immediately.
Deleted documents are permanently removed from the vendor record.

Troubleshooting#

Document Upload Fails
If a document cannot be uploaded:
Ensure the file type is allowed (executables and unsafe files are blocked)
Verify required fields like Document Type are selected
Check file size and try re-uploading
Cannot Edit Document
Document Not Visible
Cannot Delete Document
