Perform A Risk Assessment

Who can use this feature?
All Account Owners and Security Admins
Available on the Free, Core and Business plans

Generate Risks via Risk Assessment#

Risk assessments generate risks automatically based on your answers and can be saved before submission.

Sign in to WatchDog Security
Sign in to the WatchDog Security Platform.

Open Risk Management
Select Risk Management from the left-hand navigation.

Start Assessment
Click Perform New RA to begin a new assessment.

Select Checklist
Choose the checklist to use for generating risks.

Set Default Assignee
Optionally assign a user to all generated risks.

Enable Auto Fill
Choose whether to auto populate risk details.

Launch Questionnaire
Click Perform to start answering questions.

Answer Questions
Complete all questions based on your environment.

Submit Assessment
Click Submit to generate risks.

What Happens Next#

Risks are automatically created in the risk register based on your responses.
Each risk includes scoring, ownership, and optional remediation details.
Assigned users are responsible for managing and treating risks.
Risks can be edited, assigned tasks, and tracked to completion.

Troubleshooting#

No Risks Generated After Submission
Confirm auto generate risk was set to Yes
Verify the assessment was successfully submitted
Risk Details Missing
Cannot Start Assessment
