Cross-Framework Reuse

Reuse monitors and documents across multiple frameworks to reduce duplicate work and accelerate compliance.
When the same requirement exists across frameworks, evidence and results are shared automatically.
Who can use this feature?
All Account Owners, Security Admins and End Users
Available on the Business plan

Documents and monitors are shared across frameworks when requirements overlap. Completing a control once can satisfy multiple frameworks simultaneously.
TIP
Start with your most demanding framework (e.g., SOC 2). This maximizes reuse across other frameworks like ISO or GDPR.

Steps#

Sign in to WatchDog Security
Sign in to the WatchDog Security Platform.

Add Multiple Frameworks
Add multiple frameworks in Compliance Center.

Complete Control
Complete a control in one framework.

View Other Framework
Open another framework with shared requirements.

Verify Reuse
Confirm status and evidence are already populated.

What Happens Next#

Evidence is reused across frameworks automatically.
Duplicate work is reduced.
Compliance progress accelerates significantly.

Troubleshooting#

Reuse Not Applying
If reuse is not working:
Ensure frameworks share overlapping controls
Confirm the same monitor or document is used
