Delete Policy

Delete policies that are still in draft and no longer needed.
Who can use this feature?
All Account Owners and Security Admins
Available on the Free, Core and Business plans

Steps#

Sign in to WatchDog Security
Sign in to the WatchDog Security Platform.

Open Policy Manager
Navigate to Policy Manager from the left-hand menu.

Open Draft Policy
Locate a policy in Draft status.

Open Policy Actions
Click the 3 dots next to the policy.

Delete Policy
Click Delete Policy to remove the draft.

What Happens Next#

The draft policy is permanently removed from the system.
The policy cannot be recovered after deletion.
No users are affected since the policy was not published.

Troubleshooting#

Delete Option Not Available
If delete is not available:
Ensure the policy is in Draft status
Published policies cannot be deleted
Verify you have correct permissions
Accidental Deletion
