Create Manual Risk

Who can use this feature?
All Account Owners and Security Admins
Available on the Free, Core and Business plans

Create Manual Risk#

Manual risks allow you to track risks that are not generated through risk assessments.

Sign in to WatchDog Security
Sign in to the WatchDog Security Platform.

Open Risk Management
Select Risk Management from the left-hand navigation.

Add Risk
Click Add Risk to create a new risk.

Enter Risk Details
Provide the risk name, notes, and inherent impact and likelihood.

Save Risk
Click Save to create the risk.

What Happens Next#

The new risk is added to the risk register.
The risk includes initial inherent risk values based on your input.
You can assign an owner and define a treatment plan.
The risk can be updated with tasks and residual risk values.

Troubleshooting#

Cannot Create Risk
Verify your role is Account Owner or Security Admin
Ensure required fields such as risk name are completed
Confirm you clicked Save
Risk Not Appearing In Register
