User Notification Override

Control whether users can customize their own notification preferences. When enabled, users can override default notification settings; when disabled, organization-level settings are enforced.
Who can use this feature?
All Account Owners and Security Admins
Available on the Free, Core and Business plans

Enable Or Disable User Override#

Disabling user override enforces organization-level notification settings across all users.

Sign in to WatchDog Security
Sign in to the WatchDog Security Platform.

Open Settings
Navigate to User Profile > Settings.

Open Notifications Tab
Select the Notifications tab.

Open User Events
Click Configure User Profile under User Events.

Toggle User Override
Enable or disable Allow User Override.

Save Changes
Click Save Changes.

What Happens Next#

When enabled, users can customize their own notification preferences.
When disabled, organization-level settings are enforced for all users.
Changes apply immediately across all user accounts.

Troubleshooting#

Users Cannot Modify Notifications
If users are unable to change their notification settings:
Ensure Allow User Override is enabled
Only Account Owners and Security Admins can control this setting
